Our new BIGGER house

Mamma just found a job inside Paris, in Telecom Paris Tech, as a post-doc. Saint Remy is quite far from there, takes her 1:30 hour to get there. Our little apartment is also getting too small: my bed takes all the space in the bedroom or in the living-room depending on the configuration, I cannot crawl more than a few meters, my toys are all over the place. We need something closer to Paris and bigger.

So here we are, Mamma and Papa spent a few weeks contacting agencies and visiting apartments: they found a great one in Palaiseau. it is on the ground floor on a fairly new apartment building, with one more room than before (I have my own bedroom now), a terrasse and even a little garden in the back. It is about the same distance from Mamma's work as Papa's office, on the RER line (very easy access from downtown Paris and both airports), only 30 minutes from Fontainebleau (I can hear some jealous climbing friends).

Tonight is our first night in our new home. We are "camping" indoors: just enough to survice until we move for real later on this week-end. I look so small in this big empty room.

Papa feeding me in the morning. I hope he and Mamma slept well: not so easy on an inflatable mattress, and after being interrupted in the middle of the night for my little snack.

All our climbing friends were there to help us move on the big day. We had a nice picnic on the terrasse, enjoying a sunny Fall day. Vincent could not help trying pull-ups using the balcony of our neighbors from above.

Stephane and Michel: they have some good experience of moving with large families. Great help.

Mamie was there as well: she took care of me the whole morning while people were moving stuff. I am not strong enough to lift the big boxes. But I took care of Eskimo Baby, my favorite stuffed animal, myself.

Erwan managed to get a break from work to come and help us. Who said breaks meant rest? And Papi was there too, to help move and also play with me.

Because everybody was so efficient, we had the whole afternoon to go around and check out the area. I know how to drive my stroller myself now: just need a little lift from Mamma to reach the handle.

Taking care of me and moving: that's tiring. Mamma and Papa enjoy a quick 1-minute nap in the park behind the apartment. I think I'll spend quite some time there next summer.

My first time in a slide. So high, a little scary.

More than sliding down, I like crawling up the slide. Mamie likes tickling me when I try that.
