Visiting Anna Bryndis in Vienna

This is the beginning of a great period in France: a bunch of bank holidays for various reasons. almost all week-ends from now until the beginning of June are 3 or 4 days long. Great, I am going to spend so much time with Mamma and Papa.

First week-end: Easter, 4 days. Plan: visit Anna Bryndis and her parents Johanna and Finnur in Vienna, Austria. This is Mamma's birthday present from Papa. Johanna is a diplomat in the Icelandic embassy, she will be welcoming us for those 4 days. Sounds very exciting, none of us has ever been there and it is almot 3 years since we last met Johanna.

Anna Bryndis in her supercool stroller and me in my ultralightweight traveling one. she showed me out to pick raisins how out of their little box to eat them. Not so easy with little fingers. and you can't really see but we are actually having a chat with the ambassador of Iceland. I am already part of the Jet Set.

Checking out the monuments downtown Vienna. This is me walking in front of the Hofburg Imperial Palace.

Family picture in a park behind the Palace. I think it is obvious I am having a blast. Discovering new places is fun, we should do that more often.

Everything is so funny. Once good thing about not having teeth yet: the cutest smile ever!

Playboy-bunny wannabes. Tourists can stroll the city in horse-drawn carriages, and some of the horses have funny little hats. Don;t really know what they are for though.

The elevator at Anna Bryndis', it is at least 100 years older than me. Almost. At least, it is simple to use: big buttons to push. I know very well how to do that.

Standing in front of the antique elevator: such a temptation to reach for it and push all the buttons. It even has a cute pink ribbon on the door handle. Irresistible! We should get one at home.

Schönbrunn Palace: they tried to copy the magnificient Chateau de Versailles. Simpler but still nice to walk around in the park and enjoy the view. I even managed to fall asleep in the stroller while we were going uphill. And then again going downhill after lunch.

Practicing my early walking skills by the castle. Tons of tourists were admiring me as I was trying to do a few steps.

That wa such a nice and warm day: Anna Bryndis and I were so happy to show our new sunhats.

My new trick: clapping. everybody in the metro is watching me perform.

Anna Bryndis has more experience than me in the metro: she can stand by herself, just holding the support bar. I still need to sit or to be held by Mamma.

We spend the Sunday afternoon in an outdoor family restaurant. So perfect: they were little pebbles everywhere for me to play with. The best restaurant ever.

Playing hide-and-seek with Anna Bryndis under the table.
