My birthday. Again.

Let's celebrate my birthday again: Mamma and Papa invited some family to come over for lunch this week-end so they can all admire how grown I am. Good food (I got to try the roasted chicken and potatoes, yummy) and more presents! By now I know how to rip the paper off (so much fun) and discover what's hidden inside.
I really look forward to next Christmas and being 2: can I get more presents then?
Discovering the farm that Mamie and Papi just gave me: it speaks French and English and you can learn animals and numbers. Pushing buttons is fun: 7, 7, 7, 7, 7 7 7 7... 7
Reading my new book: it's about a chicken and you can touch stuff. Ilike turning pages a lot and looking at pictures, I am too young to read yet.

Yeay, a new doll. She is called Kisskiss and likes cuddling and kissing me. (See how good I am at opening presents by myself).

Meeting more cousins

Mamine, Mamie's mom turned 80 recently (that's 160 times older than me!!!) so to celebrate, her children organized a surprise week-end with a bunch of the family in the countryside, just an hour west of Paris. I got to meet a lot of new French cousins for the first time. These plus the Icelandic ones: there must be hundreds of them. I wonder if there is enough space in the world for other people.
We spent the Saturday walking around and spending time with all those people, finishing the day with a great fancy dinner: I kinda skipped that though, I prefer my mashed pumpkin and milk bottle dinner, and need my 12-hour beauty sleep. On Sunday, Mamma and Papa checked out a climbing spot while Papie and Maie took care of me for a few hours.

Some cousins, a boyfriend and an aunt. Guess who is who.

Papi demonstrated that he can still take care of little ones like me. Check out the relaxing position.

The newlyweds. Or maybe not. Mamine and Papou, my great-grandparents.

On sunday morning, we took a bath in a gigantic tub. There was space for the whole family and we could even make big bubbles. Can we have one of these at home?

Mamma climbing on the cliffs along the Seine river, the one that flows through Paris. I did not see them, too dangerous for a little girl like me, but they told me the rock was super cool: a big hard chalk wall with flinstones in it (reminds me of my nickname before I was born: little Pebble, almost like Pebbles from the Flintstone family).

Mamie and Papi took great care of me during the parent climbing session. Sho said I was not an angel? I almost even have a halo.
Gorgeous view from the top of the cliff. I would not mind leaving there either (in a big house with a giant tub).

Heim í heiðardalinn!! (home sweet home...for mom)

I´ve been getting quite a lot of complaints about how slow things are in updating this blog...well mamma and papa are quite busy taking care of me and I´m awefully slow typing...even though I try my best. Mamma finds it quite funny how I hit the keyboard with my little hands but its very hard because my fingers are so small and my thumb is so not cooperating yet...

So here comes a little story about the trip we took to Iceland in APRIL!!
It was the first time I took a plane, very exciting, even though I slept most of the way...
The flight attendants thought I was super cute...of course and everything went very well.

In the plane with mamma
In Iceland we stayed with amma and afi and I even got to meet my FAVORITE aunt, Birna for two days before she had to go back to Denmark and my FAVORITE Icelandic uncle, Jonni.

Negotiatiating the use of a "snudda/tetine" with afi.

With amma, in the process of putting on pyjamas.

With uncle Jonni. I look forward to when I'm older he can take me up on the glaciers in his big SUV!!
With aunt Birna. She lives in Denmark and I will go visit her there one day!
Amma had borrowed this bassinett for me, here I am testing it...pretty good eh!

So what did we do in Iceland, well for one I met a LOT of relatives...I seem to have a bunch of them there, well apparently I'm pretty much related to almost EVERYBODY in Iceland!! That is pretty cool, to have 300.000 cousins! I guess its good we don't know all of them, otherwise mamma and papa would have to get a much bigger appartment after my birthday to fit all my presents!!

Papa only stayed in Iceland for 5 days, then he had to go back to France to work but before he left we went to a swimming pool. I really like being in water, splashing is fun, but this one was a little cold for me so I got a bit small and started crying after a while...or so they thought when in fact I was crying because mamma made me wear a hat in the pool!! People dont wear hats when they go swimming!! :o(

With papa in the pool, its before I realized I was the only one wearing a hat!

I also met several of my my-size cousins. Here are some pictures of me with Frosti Rùnar (which at that time was my only younger cousin...since then I have one more), his sister Freyja and Sævin.

Freyja, Frosti and I...darn you can totally see in this picture that I have a little bit of a slobbering problem these days...

Frosti, Sævin and I. Man, these photoshoots can be tiring....
