Growing up... more

After all the excitement of the move, the new job for mom, the nanny, all the climbing week-ends and trips, the whole family needed some rest. November was kind of quiet, settling down in our new home. I like discovering new things, new experiences.

I have a bunch of toys, I can spend hours playing with a few of them, turning things, pushing buttons, hitting them with other toys... So much fun.

I can almost take a bath by myself now. I love playing with my rubber duckies, but not so much when Mamma or Papa wash my hair. I don't swim yet, but I wish I coud stay the whole day in there.

Uncle Vincent came to visit us for a week-end. We are both fascinated by the TV.

Flowers with a bunch of bright colors. I have to be delicate with them not to ruin them.

Buttons!!! And I can stand too. Almost stable, sort of.

My first time in Ile de Re

Mamie and Papi have a very nice house in Ile de Re, a small island off the Atlantic coast. We went there for a few days to enjoy some sun and the sea. Thierry, Vincent and Katie were there as well, all of them always saying I was super cute (am I making that up?).

The "older" Tesson family enjoying a walk on the beach. You can't see it but I am helping too: I kick my legs a lot to make dad go faster.
A small street in the old town of Saint Martin. I love the flowers, they stick out so well from the white background.

Nothing better than cuddling with Mamma. Good way to warm up too: summer maybe but wind and clouds make the beach quite chilly. I could not even try swimming and I did not like playing in the sand very much.

Playing with Mamie. She took very good care of me, and found a great way to make me laugh there.

Katie helping Vincent set up the windsurf. A star with his groupie.

Talking about the star, this picture is pretty much the only proof he went windsurfing and not swimming that day. He spent more time in the water than on the board. He even crashed into a boat anchor!!!

I stayed home while Mamma and Papa went on Papi's new boat. Windy but very sunny: guess who had a raccoon face later that day from too much sun.

Papi Tesson, and three out of four Tesson brothers: which one do you think is missing? (they all look the same)

My uncle from America

I got to meet my last French uncle, the one that lives in America. Vincent came to Europe for business and visited us for a week-end: it is a long way from Alabama and I am really glad I got to meet him so early, while I am still tiny small.

I like meeting new people, I always greet them with big smiles, let them hold me and play with me. Vincent also got to see my other side, the one where I have a hard time falling asleep at night, and cry for hours in a row. It did not seem to bother him so much though: just like when Thierry stayed here during a week-end, Vincent barely woke up when I was crying less than a meter away from me, thinking it only lasted 30 minutes or so: mom and dad had to take care of me for 2-3 hours before I finally fell asleep. Hope I can be like them when I am older, sleep without interruption whatever happens.

Even though the weather was not perfect, we got to go for a walk not too far from here, around a small lake and on a nice hill: we all discovered that new place together, we'll most probably go there again frequently, I liked it. I felt like Vincent was not getting enough exercise those days so I asked him to push my stroller up the hill: not such an easy task, would be a good training for athletes.

Vincent took very good care of me during the week-end, I really liked playing with him

The Icelandic and French Connections

You already got to meet Amma and Afi, 2 of my 2 grand-parents, when they visited me 2 weeks ago. They are mommy's mom and dad, and they come from a place far far North, Iceland, where it can be very cold and snowy.
I am so lucky that I will get to visit them and maybe some of the country when I fly there on April 4th. It will be my first time in an airplane: it is a biiiig machine, much bigger than my car, and it flies too. I guess it won't be a big change for me compared to the car, I'll probably be sleeping most of the time.

There are quite a few other people in the family: I have 1 uncle (Jonni) in Iceland, 1 aunt (Birna) in Denmark (she used to be the star of the family, I took that over from her!), 2 uncles in France (Thierry and Fabien), 1 in the USA (Vincent) and 2 more grand-parents in France (Mamie and Papi). And a bunch of cousins everywhere in the world.

Since I was born, I only got to meet 4 of them. Fabien, Mamie and Papi visited me at the hospital 2 days after I was born: they got to hold me when I was just a shrimp, looking tiny small in my big pyjamas: those same pyjamas are now a little tight, I have grown so much since then. I can even almost hold my head straight now. Almost, sometimes it is still a little wobbly, it looks like I am sort of drunk or something. Too much milk maybe.

A little later, Thierry drove from Nantes just to see me during a whole week-end. He brought me one more friend for my bed: a big blue frog that hangs on the frame: I can't really play with it now but I am sure I will love it with its long legs and arms.
I had the impression that he was not very comfortable holding me in his arms. It is a little difficult to hold a soft small body like mine, it is just a matter of getting used to it. I am a little disappointed he did not try to change my diaper once... The good thing is that he did not seem to be too bothered by me waking up at night: he did not wake up a sinlge time when I had to drink or when daddy changed my diapers a few meters away from him.

Everybody lives a little far from us, that's why I try to keep my blog updated. It takes a little time to do that, and I already have such a busy schedule: sleeping, drinking, sleeping, changing diaper, bath, drinking, a little bit of crying, going for a walk in my stroller, more drinking and sleeping... It is always the same with big stars: can never find time for themselves.

I have already planned some visits here and there: I'd like to fly around the world to meet everybody and all of mom and dad's friends. I have to show them for real how cute I am.
